Who Qualifies For A Bursary Or University Student Loan From NSFAS?
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application system.
Applications at the moment are open and will shut on 15 December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant should meet the subsequent criteria:
• Be a South African citizen or copyright who arises from a home having a combined gross domestic income that doesn't exceed R350 000 for every annum.
• Persons with disabilities qualify if their combined residence revenue does not exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients immediately qualify for funding and want not post any proof of income.

All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
